Who we are
Feeding Healthy Appetites Since 2016
Twin Creeks Greenhouse is a family-owned and operated business. We began our first year of pepper production in the winter of 2016, and haven't looked back since! Mike and Danielle Cornelissen run the daily operations of the greenhouse, along with their dedicated and lively team of employees.
How we grow
Fresh Produce, Cutting-Edge Practices
We use the excess methane gas from the local landfill for our boilers - which helps with carbon emissions.
Since our hydroponic peppers are grown in a full-enclosed facility with computerized climate control and Integrated Pest Management (that means the "good bugs" fight the "bad bugs"), we can ensure each pepper has the optimal environment for growing.
Not only do we use computers for monitoring the indoor climate, we also use them to help us cultivate! Our Bogaerts picking carts are self-driving carts, meaning our greenhouse workers can pick until the bin is full and then it will drive itself to our Packhouse for emptying, and then it will return to it's assigned phase. Not only does this increase efficiency, it also means our greenhouse workers can spend more time ensuring our peppers are top-quality.

Where we grow
Twin Creeks Greenhouse is located just outside of Watford, Ontario, off of the 402 highway. This location was specifically chosen due its proximity to the local landfill as a methane gas source, and also benefits from its convenient access to the highway and required utilities.
Our Mission: |
To lead Canadian agriculture by adopting innovative business practices within the local environment, while encouraging employee development to consistently produce top quality produce.

Our History: |
The Cornelissen family has been involved in food production since 1953, and moving towards greenhouse vegetable production has been in the works for many years. The Cornelissen's have always prided themselves in producing high quality products by using some of the most environmentally-friendly practices, like conservation tillage in cash crop, and geothermal technology in their poultry operations. The greenhouse is the latest division of the operation, and is unique in that it uses methane from the local landfill as one of its main heat sources.
