Packhouse Coordinator

Job Description:
The packhouse coordinator is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the grading line and packhouse are
operating effectively. The coordinator will be required to oversee the quality of produce, ensure proper
labelling and packaging, troubleshoot and repair errors with the grading computer system, and
coordinate outgoing shipments.


Duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Basic computer repairs to grading system as required
  • Communicate with a team of up to 15 employees
  • Coordinate outgoing shipments and ensure proper labelling and packaging before shipment
  • Ensure strict food safety protocols are being met
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication
  • Proficient using computers
  • Forklift licence is an asset but not required

Education & Experience:
  • ​High school diploma required

Packhouse Associate

Job Description:
Reporting to the packhouse supervisor, this position is responsible for grading out low quality peppers,
and packing peppers into market ready material, all while adhering to strict food safety protocols.

Duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Grading peppers
  • Packing peppers into market ready materials
  • Manually loading boxes onto skids
  • Using forklift to move skids and load trucks
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 22lbs
  • Forklift licence is an asset but not required

Education & Experience:
  • ​High school diploma required

Integrated Pest Management Scout

Job Description:
This position is a full-time position that will identify and remove yield-limiting threats such as insects, diseases, and weeds. The IPM Scout will maintain biosecurity and food safety measures.

Duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Inspect and monitor plants for pests, diseases, or damage
  • Apply preventative measures and control measures; document actions taken
  • Distinguish between different species of pests and diseases and report to Grower/Management in a timely manner
  • Apply biologicals when necessary
  • Comply with all Health & Safety and SOP procedures and policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and crouch throughout the day
  • Experience in greenhouse or production facility an asset
  • Comfortable working in heat and at heights

Education & Experience:
  • 1 year scouting experience preferred
  • High school diploma required
